Fields of Study: Latino/Latina student pursuing a major in the arts: media, film, performing arts, communication, writing, etc.
Award type and amount: The HSF/McNamara awards grants for creative projects up to $15,000.
Description: The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation’s preeminent organization
supporting Hispanic higher education. It aims to strengthen the country by
advancing college education among Hispanic Americans.
Selection Criteria:

Be of Hispanic heritageBe a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stampedBe an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full‐time at an accredited institution in the United StatesBe pursuing a degree in the artsHave a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scaleMust apply for a FAFSA

Application Procedure:
1. Review the HSF website thoroughly to ensure that you are a good fit
for this scholarship.
2. Identify a faculty member to serve as a recommender and to review
your application and offer feedback for improvement.
3. Review the online application. Create a draft. Ask your faculty
advisor for feedback, and revise multiple times.
4. Secure an official transcript, enrollment verification form, name and
email of faculty recommender, and student aid report.
5. Mail all materials including the polished application in one big
envelope by the postmark deadline date to:
